After making his debut in 1992 with Deewana, Shah Rukh Khan was already known because of his TV work. But he soon rose as a filmstar and later became one of the biggest superstars the country has seen. After going through a rough patch a few years back, he rose back to fame with Pathaan this year. And with his latest release Jawan, he has climbed the ladder of success even further as the movie has clocked almost Rs. 300 crores in just four days.
In this article, we look back at SRK’s highest weekend grossers of all time. The list is headed by Jawan with Rs. 286.16 crores. This is followed by his other 2023 film Pathaan with Rs. 280.75 crores. These two films are away ahead of the rest of the films in the list.
The third movie in the list is the Farah Khan directorial Happy New Year with Rs. 108.86 crores in its first weekend. The movie also starred Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. This is followed by his blockbuster Chennai Express that had made Rs. 100.42 crores in its first weekend.
Coming back to Jawan, the movie is produced under Shah Rukh Khan’s banner Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Atlee Kumar. It also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priya Mani, Deepika Padukone, among others.
