Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is proving to be an all time blockbuster as the film is showing a fantastic hold in collections on Monday. According to early estimates, Jawan has collected in the range of Rs. 28 crores to Rs.30 crores on the fifth day, taking the total collections in Hindi to Rs. 280 crores. The film is running a one-horse race and is proving to be one of the biggest blockbusters of modern era.
Jawan is looking to show a nominal drop of 40 percent over Friday, and this indicates that the film is all set to have a long and healthy run at the box office and probably emerge an all-time grosser, surpassing the lifetime collections of Pathaan and Gadar 2. The film could have easily topped the Rs.30 crore mark, but the business was affected a little by the India Pakistan Match.
Jawan is now headed towards recording a first week collection of Rs. 340 crores and will be targetting to enter the 400 crore club at the end of second weekend, making it the fastest to do so. The film is continuing to do phenomenal business in Tamil and Telugu too, as the five-day dubbed total stands around the Rs.35 crore mark.
The all India five-day total of Jawan is now at Rs. 310 crores and the film will be in a big position of Rs. 370 crores plus at the end of first week on a nationwide basis. These are historic numbers and will be difficult to replicate for any film in the near future. Shah Rukh Khan is back and roaring like never before, probably witnessing euphoria and peaking in the 31st year of his career.
