Author Yashica Dutt slams Made In Heaven 2 makers for allegedly using her work without consent; says they have “erased” her identity

Author Yashica Dutt has slammed the makers of Made In Heaven 2 for allegedly using her work without consent. Dutt, who is the author of the book “Coming Out As Dalit,” has claimed that the makers of the web series have used her real-life story for giving birth to Radhika Apte’s character in the fifth episode, “The Heart Skipped a Beat.”

In a post on social media, Dutt claimed that she was “heartbroken” to see her work being used without her permission. She said that the makers of the show had allegedly “taken her ideas without credit” and that this was “a betrayal of her trust.”

Dutt also claimed that the makers of the show have “erased” her identity by not giving her proper credit. She said that this was “a form of violence” against Dalit women, who are often “taken from, erased, ignored, and obliterated” from their own stories.

The past few days have been overwhelming. I continue to support @ghaywan’s excellent work, now with Made in Heaven and earlier with Geeli Pucchi on Netflix. But this needs to be said. pic.twitter.com/tU1xro3QzC
