Sanya Malhotra celebrates 7 years of Bollywood journey; reflects on Dangal debut

Sanya Malhotra, the actress renowned for her stellar performances marked a significant milestone in her Bollywood career as her debut film, Dangal, completed seven years since its release. The actress, who made her foray into the industry with the Aamir Khan-starrer biographical drama in 2016, took to social media to share a heartwarming video commemorating this special occasion.

On December 23, Sanya Malhotra shared the video on her Instagram, offering a nostalgic glimpse into her remarkable journey in Bollywood. The video featured snippets, pictures, and behind-the-scenes moments from several of her films, including Badhaai Ho, Dangal, Pagglait, and Jawan, among others. Expressing her gratitude and joy, Sanya captioned the post with, “Happy 7 years of living my dream. Happy Dangal day #7yearsofDangal.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal narrated the inspiring story of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, played by Aamir Khan, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita, portrayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, respectively. The film garnered universal acclaim upon its release, emerging as a massive commercial success.

Recently, Sanya Malhotra showcased her versatility in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, starring alongside Vicky Kaushal. The film received both critical acclaim and achieved financial success. Prior to that, she played a pivotal role in Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller, Jawan, which also garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Looking ahead, Sanya Malhotra is set to captivate audiences in Arati Kadav’s Mrs, a remake of the Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen.
