In the current season of Mama June: Family Crisis, June Shannon is in the doghouse with two of her daughters. It recently came out that a big chunk of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson‘s Coogan account money is missing.
This is the money she earned during her childhood days as a reality TV star. Mama admitted to using the money for family expenses as well as their home and vacations. But that’s not what the money was for, and Alana is furious.
In addition, her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon Efird, is also livid. Recently, she did some digging and found out exactly how much money Alana is missing. And she put Mama on blast.
She has shorted Alana $35,000 on Mama June: Family Crisis. Indeed, that could pay for two semesters of Alana’s college education. So, she wants the money back and she’s not afraid to take her to court. But, Mama’s husband, Justin Stroud, is taking a different approach.

Justin is appalled by Mama’s actions and mostly by her lies. His sobriety and June’s sobriety are very important to him and they cannot maintain it without honesty. Furthermore, he wants her to do right by her daughter.
So, if she does not return the money, their marriage is over. Perhaps, Mama doesn’t think he’s serious, but he appears to be. The Mama June: Family Crisis brood are on a small break. But, they’ll come back on the air this June, and many things are changing.
Mama June: Family Crisis Stars Return in June
Currently, there is a pause in new episodes of Mama June: Family Crisis. The reality series is on a little break and picking back up in June. Last we saw the Shannon ladies, Alana was determined to get the $35,000 Mama owes her.
And Justin was as adamant as Alana. His ultimatum stands — if she won’t pay Alana back, he walks out of their marriage. So, when new episodes return, she has a life-changing decision to make on Mama June: Family Crisis.
Furthermore, the latest episodes will focus more on Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell‘s heart-wrenching cancer battle. Viewers know that in real-time, Anna has already passed away. She died on December 9, 2023. Anna lost her battle to cancer and her family is struggling to go on without her.
But when the reality series returns, we will see the remainder of Anna’s journey leading up to her final days. And perhaps, we will get an update on how the family is doing now. Grab the tissues because the upcoming episodes are sure to be tear-jerkers.
