Bold and the Beautiful woke Eric Forrester up from his coma as Brooke Logan read a verse from the Bible aloud on Friday’s cliffhanger for the CBS soap. B&B fans can’t stop talking about Brooke’s new infatuation with the bible. This is the second time she blurted out something from the good book.
Bold and the Beautiful: Eric Forrester – Looking Bewildered
Eric Forrester (John McCook) did more than blink on Friday’s B&B. He woke up from his unconscious slumber to a room filled with his loved ones. He even said his first words when Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) asked him to say something. And, Brooke looked on, clenching the Bible in her hands.
But, did you catch the concern on Steffy Forrester‘s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) face last week on Bold and the Beautiful? She seemed to notice Eric Forrester was struggling to make sense out of the faces staring back at him.
Still, the biggest clue was when Ridge asked his father to say something. It looked like Eric didn’t know what to say. He looked around the room and a Christmas ornament caught his eye. That seemed to prompt Eric to say his first words on Bold and Beautiful… “Merry Christmas.”
So, Eric is awake and responsive, but does he know who he is or the names of all the faces circling his bed? That scene in the hospital where he looked around the room before he said his Christmas greeting offers a clue that he might not.
B&B Spoilers: Brooke Logan Belting Out Bible Verse
Bold and the Beautiful put the Bible in Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) hand. She found a Bible belonging to Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). So Brooke sat down in Eric’s living room to read the section from this book that her late mother-in-law had marked off.
Well, that happened earlier this week and that scene sent Bold and the Beautiful viewers to social media. Many saw this as quite comical on B&B’s part. To see Brooke read from the good book after all her dirty deeds, hit the funny bone for many fans.
Others couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Out of all the people whom Bold and the Beautiful could have picked to belt out a Bible verse, they picked Brooke Logan.
It seems Brooke wasn’t the first person for this good deed in the minds of most fans. Check out the tweet below for a comical look at her Bible reading.
Others saw it as a little comic relief thrown into a long, worn-out storyline. But some hoped this wasn’t a hint that Brooke was turning a new leaf and starting on a new crusade with the Bible in tow wherever she goes.

Brooke Logan’s Bible reading was fleeting as Eric fought to take his first few breaths on his own. But when he opened his eyes, the look of confusion took over his face. Plus, as the Bold and the Beautiful camera scanned the room, it seemed as if Steffy caught the look on Eric Forrester’s face.
Eric Forrester struggled to find something to say, which seemed to hint at him not recognizing his surroundings, like the faces of his loved ones. Although he did squeeze Donna Logan‘s (Jennifer Gareis) hand when he was asked to give a sign.

Still, she was holding his hand at the time. So, Eric could have given anyone a squeeze that happened to have his hand in theirs at the time. That said, when Bold and the Beautiful rolls out next week, will Ridge Forrester’s worst nightmare come into play?
He worried that after this experimental treatment, his father could turn into someone that his family doesn’t recognize. Until Eric Forrester looks a family member in the face and utters their name, a full recovery is still up in the air on the CBS soap.
