Anupam Kher remembers late friend Satish Kaushik on first death anniversary: “I miss you, your nonsense jokes”

Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to social media on Saturday (March 9, 2024) to pay tribute to his late friend and colleague Satish Kaushik on his first death anniversary. Kaushik, a renowned actor and filmmaker, passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 66 following a heart attack.

Kher shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, featuring a one-minute clip of Kaushik watching a video about friendship. In the caption, Kher recounted a memory from a year ago, revealing that he had secretly recorded Kaushik’s reaction to the video.

He expressed his deep affection for Kaushik, highlighting his cheerful personality, innocence, and unwavering friendship. Kher also confessed about missing his friend’s presence and his “stupid jokes” in a touching display of their close bond.

Kaushik was a graduate of the prestigious National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India. Kaushik was not only an accomplished actor but also a talented director. He helmed successful films like the Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam and Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor.

Kaushik’s final screen appearance was in the recently released film Kaagaz 2, which also starred Anupam Kher. Moviegoers can also expect to see Kaushik in his posthumous role as former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram in Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency.
