Today marks the 6th anniversary of Padman, a film produced by Prerna Arora, recognized for supporting impactful cinema. It stands as a reminder of the power of storytelling to spark meaningful conversations and drive social progress, transcending mere entertainment.
Celebrating the occasion, Prerna said, “Padman wasn’t merely a film; it embodied a transformative movement aimed at shattering entrenched taboos and addressing a pivotal societal issue. Through the lens of Padman, we endeavoured to illuminate the shadows surrounding menstrual hygiene, fostering a narrative that wasn’t just on the screen but resonated in the hearts and minds of audiences. The film, with its boldness and purpose, sought to spark a revolution, breaking the silence that had enveloped this critical aspect of women’s health.”
The film starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte went on to create a social, critical as well as commercial stir. Prerna Arora is now back with another film titled Hero Heeroine starring Divya Khosla Kumar. The Hindi-Telugu drama captures the steamy romance from the glitzy film industry.
