Welcome to Plathville Season 5 returns for a drama-filled season. This season will reflect on how much each family member has changed. A lot has happened since TLC viewers last saw the family in Season 4. In the opener, Moriah Plath and Micah Plath sit down with their parents, Barry Plath and Kim Plath, to discuss Olivia Plath‘s actions.
Welcome to Plathville: Moriah Plath & Micah Plath Out Olivia Plath’s Lies
Moriah Plath wants to make things clear. She is unhappy with her brother Ethan Plath’s wife, Olivia Plath’s actions. She says she is over her former friend’s attempts to come between their family. In Season 4, viewers saw that Moriah stood up to her. Moriah realized she had enough of her games. She lost her temper after Olivia caused a scene at her brother Joshua Plath’s graveside.
It didn’t end there. Olivia Plath had plenty to say during her confessional. She said that Ethan’s mother, Kim Plath, stole his money. She also says Kim used Ethan’s credit card without his knowledge. Olivia also insinuated this abuse had been going on behind Ethan’s back for quite some time.
Kim Plath did not defend herself against her daughter-in-law’s accusations during the finale. This made the family members angry. After the show, Moriah, Micah, Lydia Plath, and Isaac Plath issued a joint statement. They called Olivia’s accusations false. Now it looks like they will have their say during Season 5 of Welcome to Plathville.
Fans See a Different Side of Micah
During their talk with Barry and Kim, fans will see a new side of Welcome to Plathville‘s sibling, Micah Plath. In the past, he has always been the one to try and keep the peace with his family. But since his parents split, Micah reveals he is bitter. He is having trouble accepting that his parents are no longer together. It is affecting Micah’s life in many ways.
It also has caused him to change his happy-go-lucky attitude. During his talk with Mom and Dad, Micah Plath gets a lot of things off of his chest. He says about Olivia, “Honestly, she’s always hated the way we grew up.” Micah continues to voice his concerns about his brother’s relationship. “She’s always talked crap. And Ethan has, I really feel like he’s absorbed all of that.”

Barry agrees with Micah and says, “You know what that is called? It’s called brainwashing.” It is a lot for them all to take in. This is major for the parents. It looks like their kids are coming back around to them. So, it seems like they don’t want to do anything to scare them off.
Welcome to Plathville: Moriah Convinces the Family to Cut Ties Sister-In-Law
Moriah continues to explain her new feelings towards Ethan’s wife. She tells her parents she no longer wants to have a relationship with her. During her confessional, she admits to finally seeing the light. “Olivia has said a bunch of things about my parents for years, and it’s only gotten worse. It’s gotten to the point where lies are being told. And I personally want to do my part in making things right.”

She confesses that she is angry at herself. She can’t believe she sat by for years and allowed her to try and destroy her family. Moriah says it is okay for Olivia to feel whatever she feels, but she will not stand back and tolerate the lies. She tells Kim and Barry that she no longer cares to have anything to do with her. She also adds the other siblings all agree.
The Welcome to Plathville wife finds the change confusing. She says she no longer has a family that wants anything to do with her. Of course, fans say she will attempt to pull them back in. But she will discover it may be too late and she pushed them too far this time.
TLC Star Forced to Choose Between Wife & Family?
This will likely cause even more problems in her marriage to Ethan Plath. They have struggled with their relationship for years. Now, it looks like Ethan may have to choose, once and for all, between his family and his wife.

This decision will be one of the hardest he will make. Either way, he will lose, whether it is his wife or his entire family. He knows there is likely no way to make this work. Ethan Plath has a lot to think about. He knows this will cause many new problems between him and his Welcome to Plathville siblings, Moriah Plath and Micah Plath.
