Furthermore, the trailer that was unveiled recently set the perfect tone as audiences get ready to witness this hard-hitting tale about one of India’s most heart-wrenching incidents from 2002. In the past, Vikrant Massey has confessed how he has begun to feel the impact of being part of this courageous story that aims to reveal hidden truths. In an earlier interaction, the actor confessed about having received death threats and now, he has revealed that it has extended to his family and his 9-month-old child.
During a recent interview, Vikrant opened about the threats he has been receiving for The Sabarmati Report. He said, “Mujhe mere social media, Whatsapp pe threat aa rahe hai. Yeh log jante hai ki mein 9 months pehele, ek bacche ka pita bana hu. Mera baccha jo theek se chal bhi nahi pata, uska naam bich mein liya ja raha hai. Uski suraksha ke liye mujhe chinta mein daala ja raha hai. Hum kis samaj mein jee rahe hai? Afsos hota hai, dar nahi lagta. Agar dar lagta toh hum yeh film banake, bahar laate hi nahi (I have been receiving threats on my social media and Whatsapp. They know that I have had a baby boy 9 months ago and that I am a father. They are pushing me to safeguard and protect him from them. What kind of society are we living in? I am not scared, I am disappointed. If we were afraid, we would have never made this film or released it). “
Speaking of the movie, Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd presents, A Vikir Films Production, The Sabarmati Report, also starring Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra in lead roles, is directed by Dheeraj Sarna. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, a worldwide wide release by Zee Studios, the film will be releasing in theatres on November 15, 2024.
