My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Thore Gets Sick
Whitney Thore gets sick on her dad Glenn Thore’s bucket list trip to Switzerland. She woke up with a sore throat. She didn’t want to get medical help. However, he was able to convince his daughter to see a doctor. So, she goes to the emergency room to get help. He fears that her health could ruin the entire trip.

However, the My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star is well enough to join her family on a glacier hike the following day. She is happy to not miss out on the adventure. But, she decides to cut the fun short and leave the group to head back down.
Whitney heads back to the train to go back to the mountain. However, when she is about to hop on the train, an announcement states that the train has malfunctioned and all services have stopped indefinitely.
Whitney Stuck at Top of Mountain
Whitney explains that she has to leave the train station and wait for helicopters to “perform a rescue mission.” Authorities told her this was the only way for them to get off the mountain since the trains weren’t working. She feels it’s obvious that other people aren’t aware that the trains aren’t running.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member meets back up with her family to tell them the bad news. She explains that the trains are no longer running and that they won’t be going back down if they don’t get on the helicopter.
Whitney explains that she is running on fumes and not oxygen. They have to walk a decent distance to where the helicopters are going to pick them up. She starts to feel sick and needs to get down as soon as possible.
A local guide explains to everyone the procedure for getting into the helicopter and what to do once inside. The TLC celeb tells the guide she feels sick, and the elevation only makes her feel worse. So, they put her on the first helicopter with her niece, Jamie.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Celeb Takes Helicopter Down
Jamie finds it crazy that she has to take a helicopter down the mountain. However, she will do it even though she is afraid of heights. She is glad that Whitney Thore being sick means they get to go first. However, she isn’t happy her aunt is suffering in the first place.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life castmate explains that it is a real emergency. Whitney explains that they don’t have another choice. They are getting off the mountain, which means taking a helicopter ride down.
