Not too long ago, it was reported that Sushrii Mishraa will be launched as the female lead of the upcoming film Ruslaan. The action-packed film is headlined by Aayush Sharma and will also feature an ensemble supporting cast.
Speaking about Mishraa, she was formerly crowned as Miss India United Continents in 2015, and ever since then she has long been accustomed to the spotlight, charming audiences with her grace and poise. A national-level swimmer and accomplished horse rider, Mishraa’s athleticism is matched only by her dedication to delve into various dance forms including Kathak, Jazz Funk, and Odissi.
In fact, Sushrii has spent some years doing theatre to hone her skills as an actor. Speaking of how she bagged the role in Ruslaan, we hear that what truly made her stand out during the audition was her extensive training in martial arts, including MMA. It seems that the filmmakers set out to find a leading lady who could seamlessly embody the action-packed sequences of the film and they needed someone with more than just on-screen presence which was a performer with genuine skill and training. Mishraa’s background not only met but her training provided her with ample backing for the role, making her the natural choice for it.
Talking about her debut, Sushrii Mishraa said, “Stepping into Bollywood with Ruslaan is a dream come true for me. Ruslaan marks the return of Aayush Sharma post Antim: The Final Truth. With Sushrii Mishraa as his leading lady, the film also features Jagapathi Babu and Vidya Malvade in key roles. It is directed by Karan L Butani and produced by Sri Sathya Sai Arts as it is all set to release on April 26.
