Married At First Sight: Brennan Shoykhet Taps out of The Hot Tub
On Married At First Sight, Brennan Shoykhet isn’t good at hiding his growing disinterest in Emily Balch. No amount of sessions with the “experts” is going to change this. And neither is a silly game with strips of paper in a fishbowl designed to bare your soul. In fact it has the opposite effect. The couple sit down to a cringe fest with Dr. Pepper Schwartz. She wants Brennan to name 5 things he likes about Emily.
Brennan Shoykhet squirms. While he could probably rattle off ten things he hates faster, he coughs up three boring qualities: caring, loyal and fun. She’s your wife Brennan not a golden retriever. Emily is gracious and gives him 5 positive attributes. Pepper sends them back to the Rocky Mountain High condos with a fishbowl game. Earlier Brennan had suggested a reset after their fight at a couples dinner. He thinks they should just be friendly and not worry about all this marriage nonsense. Dude why are you here?

The hot tub is the only thing that’s steamy for this Married At First Sight couple. The strips of paper melt in the heat but not as quickly as this marriage. Emily Balch reads questions. Brennan Shoykhet does go a little deep about being estranged from his sister. Emily Balch reveals that her dad was too tough on her and quashed her dreams of being Britney Spears or a newscaster. Brennan Shoykhet responds that he’s tapping out due to the heat. Tapping out of the hot tub or the marriage? Um it’s the latter Emily.
Married At First Sight: Becca Haley Impresses Austin
One of the two remaining MAFS couples Becca Haley and Austin cuddle in bed. But Becca has made it clear that she’s ready to move beyond the cute and cuddly stage. She is a professional photographer and sets up a surprise photo shoot for Austin’s buddy and his wife and kids. Becca clearly has a gift with children. Even when they pick their nose doing the shoot. Austin is impressed with Becca. But those pesky religious differences.

Later they brunch with Austin’s parents. It seems like mother Austin must have downed a mimosa or two. She’s much kinder to Becca this time around. Austin brags about her photography and people skills. And his dad even calls her an “unexpected delight”. Austin reminisces about his job as a valet. But these two aren’t out of the woods yet between the lack of intimacy and him suggesting she’s going to hell and all.
Married at First Sight: Meet New Bride Chloe Brown
In an attempt to revive this sinking ship of a season, jilted Married At First Sight groom Michael Shiakallis is set to marry mystery bride number two. In more realistic terms another literal stranger. The experts spend many a late night downing takeout and racking their brains over who just who could save this awful season. Finally they find their girl. Chloe Brown, a recovering perfectionist with good hair who welcomes elderly rescue dogs into her home without blinking an eye.

No pressure Chloe but you better come through. Dr.Pepper Schwartz is getting tired of fifth-wheeling friend groups in bars. And offering contraband bottles of MAFS champagne. Video clips show a glowing Chloe working out and snuggling with a senior schnauzer. She even passes on a pink wedding dress so the wedding isn’t all about her. Pepper suggests that this Disney princess turned compassionate woman is just what Michael and the show needs to come up for air. Let’s hope.
Married At First Sight: Cameron Frazer Deals with Health Scare
On last week’s episode of MAFS, Cameron Frazer and Clare Kerr decided to separate. While it was mutual and amicable, it hasn’t been without some concern. Cameron was diagnosed with a heart condition shortly after the split. While the details aren’t clear, it seems he has to keep his heart rate down at all times. He admits the stress from the split and the whole process may have impacted his health. But likely the condition was going to reveal itself in time anyway.

Clare Kerr worries for her Married At First Sight spouse in spite of the separation. She feels guilty and confides in Dr. Pia Holec. While Pia assures her she’s not to blame, she suggests Clare and her family offer support. Especially since Cameron doesn’t really have family to support him in the states. Clare tearfully acknowledges that she will. So will the remaining two couples make it to decision day? Till next time!
