Jawan Advance Booking: Shah Rukh Khan creates HISTORY by collecting Rs. 30 crores in pre-sales for opening day

The release of Jawan is around the corner and Shah Rukh Khan has just created history in the advance bookings. The Atlee-directed masala entertainer has scored an advance booking worth Rs. 30 crores nett for the opening day alone across India and is now looking to score an all-time highest opening by surpassing the collections of Pathaan.

Jawan has sold almost 5 lakh tickets in the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – as of 9 pm on Wednesday and will be closing at 5.25 lakh tickets, in the same range as the Yash starrer KGF 2. The advances might be a little short of Pathaan in national chains, but the film has almost 25 percent better advances than Pathaan across the non-national chains and single screens.

The macho avatar of Shah Rukh Khan has set the cash registers ringing in advance booking and it’s now all about hitting a sixer with the release on the content front. The advance booking in the top 3 chains is the third highest of all time after Baahubali 2 (Hindi) and Pathaan, whereas properties like City Pride, Rajhans, and Miraj are creating all-time records for a feature film.

The advance booking of Jawan is historic, to say the least and this is just the beginning as Jawan has all the chances to emerge as another all-time grosser for Shah Rukh Khan after Pathaan if the film lives on to the hype. The bookings are phenomenal across the board – be it East, West, North or South – and it’s now just on the content to deliver. The opening in Hindi alone is expected to be Rs. 60 crore plus, whereas Tamil and Telugu will put up another Rs. 10 crores on the first day, taking all India total to Rs. 70 crores.

History is being created with Jawan, as the King is here to create new records!
