EXCLUSIVE: Wamiqa Gabbi on shooting with Salman Khan in Baby John, “It felt like a dream, his energy is infectious”

Bollywood icon Salman Khan has made a powerful impact in the film Baby John, and his co-stars can’t contain their excitement. Directed by Kalees, the film blends Bollywood with the South Indian cinema, and Salman’s involvement has added an extra excitement among the audience. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, his co-stars shared their thoughts on working with the superstar and the impact he brings to the screen.

Varun, Wamiqa, and Kalees Share Heartfelt Words on His Energy and Star Power
Varun Dhawan, who plays the lead, spoke warmly about Salman’s presence in the film. She said, “We want to see him smile. We don’t like to see him down. We want to see him happy and smiling always,” Varun said. “In this film, he will bring a lot of smiles, and he’s going to give us the OG Salman Khan vibes—his energy, his magic, the charisma we all love.”

For Wamiqa Gabbi, who also stars in the film, working with Salman was a dream come true. “Subha se leke shaam tak, mere van mein sirf unke gaane baj rahe the,” she recalled. “Me aur meri puri team sirf unke gaano mein dance kar rahi thi. I was so overwhelmed shooting with him. It felt like a dream. His energy is infectious, and being around him makes you feel like part of something truly special.” Kalees also shared his admiration for the superstar saying, “He is a superstar, no doubt. Only a few people can turn a theatre into a station, and Salman Khan is one of them,” Kalees said. “Salman Khan is a film without a camera. His presence alone brings the essence of cinema to life.”
