Bollywood star Bobby Deol was recently treated to a delightful surprise at the Mumbai airport, courtesy of the talented a cappella and beatbox band, Aflatunes. Upon his arrival, the band launched into a 30-second performance of Deol’s hit song ‘Jamal Kudu’ from his latest film, Animal.
The impromptu performance, captured on video, has since gone viral on Instagram, amassing a wave of positive reactions. Deol himself was visibly thrilled, expressing his appreciation to the band before leaving. He later took to his Instagram story, sharing the video and showering the group with praise.
“Stumbled upon a beautiful surprise! This was outstanding,” Deol wrote. “Thank you guys, y’all are incredible!” he added, complete with a heart emoji.
For the unversed, ‘Jamal Kudu,’ featuring Deol, became an instant earworm upon the release of “Animal.” The song’s popularity continues to soar, and Deol’s energetic performance in the film has garnered widespread acclaim. In fact, Deol recently won Best Actor in a Negative Role at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024.
In his acceptance speech, he said, “I still feel I’m dreaming. The first person I want to thank is Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who when I was not doing mainstream cinema believed in something inside me as an actor and gave me the opportunity. And these opportunities are so rare.”

Now, fans are eagerly waiting to see his big debut in the south with Kanguva. The forthcoming Tamil-language fantasy action film will be directed by Siva and starring Suriya in the lead.
