Asha Parekh reacts to Kangana Ranaut saying that Bollywood is not worth her friendship; asks, “why can’t she be friends with them”

It is a known fact that yesteryear actresses like Asha Parekh, Waheeda Rahman, and Helen have continued to retain their sister-like friendship. Not only do they get together but the trio is also seen taking trips together and supporting each other through best and worst phases. Such iconic friendships of iconic stars is a rare phenomenon but not a non-existent one in Bollywood. On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut had once asserted that only fake friendships exists within Bollywood. So when Asha Parekh was recently asked about them, she responded with a question wondering why Kangana is not making any friends within the industry.

In an interaction with News18, Asha Parekh continued to cite the example of her friendship with her co-stars and best friends Waheeda Rahman and Helen. “Have you seen how close me, Waheeda ji and Helen ji are? We have a strong friendship,” said Asha ji. When asked about Kangana’s statement about not having friends in Bollywood, Asha ji added, “Ab woh Kangana ji se puchiye na, ki kyu nahi hai. Aapne aisa kyu nahi pucha, ki aap aise kyu bol rahe hai (Please ask Kangana why she believes that? Why didn’t you question her about making such a statement) It is a personal choice of everyone, whether they want to be friends with someone or not. So, you must ask her ki woh kyu nahi dosti karti? Mere saath toh bohot achchi hai woh (why she doesn’t make friends. She has always been nice to me though).”

For the unversed, in a brunch session with Curly Tales, when Kangana Ranaut was asked about three people she would like to invite for a brunch session, the actress’ response was, “Bollywood se toh vaise iss sewa ke laayak koi hai nahi. Ghar toh bulao hi nahi bilkul bhi. Baahar kahin mil lo toh theek hai, ghar mat bulao. Nahi, bilkul nahi. Mere dost banne laayak hai hi nahi yeh log. Qualification chahiye hoti hai uske liye (There is no one in Bollywood who is worth it. Never call them to your home. If you want to meet, meet them outside but not home. No never. They are not worth my friendship. They don’t have that kind of qualification).”
