Young and the Restless’ Claire Grace is ready to confront her demons and try to turn her life around this week. And she may get some surprising help on the CBS daytime drama.
This week, on Y&R, Claire Grace (Haley Erin) tries to find closure by coming face-to-face with her psycho great-aunt, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk).
She got her parents, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), to agree to let her see Jordan in Oregon.
But the condition is that they go with her because Vikki is worried about the effect Jordan could have on Claire. She agrees and soon tries to settle unfinished business with Jordan on Young and the Restless.
She’s in a very dark place and doesn’t think she’s worthy of her parents’ love. So, of course, they’re doing everything they can to convince her they love her unconditionally. And that they can have a happy future together as a family.
However, Young and the Restless spoilers promise that starting over with Claire won’t be as easy as Victoria would like. And part of that may be because of her mom and dad, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Surely, they’re happy that Victoria has her daughter, but she terrorized them, and that will be hard to forgive — or forget. Soon, Victoria asks her father for a massive favor. Later, Vic promises to protect Nikki no matter what.
So, Vikki may ask her dad to go with her, Cole, and Claire to see Jordan. Perhaps, to make sure she pays for what she did to Nikki. But if Claire doesn’t feel she deserves love from Victoria and Cole, she likely will feel the same about the rest of the Newmans.
She sees herself as a monster and an outcast on Young and the Restless. Indeed, there’s a Newman who knows exactly how that feels — her uncle, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). And he might be the one who can give her hope.
No doubt Adam knows what it’s like to go dark and do unforgivable things to his family members. His past is troubled, and he’s been a Newman outsider until recently.
No one wanted anything to do with him except for his father, Victor. And even he almost cut him out of his life. So, Adam is the perfect person to help Claire work through her guilt and build a bright and solid future.
Then, Victoria, who always hated Adam, will be grateful to him for helping her daughter. And she could see him in a new light. Then, their family may come together and be stronger than ever on Young and the Restless.
Of course, it will take time for Victor and Nikki to trust Claire. But Adam could help them see that if he can change, so can their granddaughter. Y&R is full of surprises. Don’t miss a minute to see if Adam takes Claire Grace under his wing on the CBS soap opera.
