Vedaa trailer launch: The team of John Abraham-starrer talk about CLASHING with Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein: “People should watch all three films. But watch Vedaa first”

John Abraham, Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, director Nikkhil Advani, Umesh K Bansal of Zee Studios, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Minnaskshi Das attended the trailer launch of Vedaa at a multiplex in Mumbai. As expected, the team was asked about their film clashing with the horror comedy Stree 2 and comic caper Khel Khel Mein on August 15.

Abhishek Banerjee, incidentally, also stars in Stree 2. He was asked the plus points and minus points of having a release on the same day. He raised laughs as he said, “This is happening with me for the first time. Hence, I have no idea (smiles). I’ll come to know after 15th how it feels to have two releases on the same day.”

John Abraham joked, “No one will be able to touch the cumulative collections of Abhishek Banerjee’s films!”

When a journalist asked about the clash, Monisha Advani said, “Of course, we’ll do well. I hope all the films do well. The phase that our industry is going through, I think it’s important that we support all films. It’s up to the media to use its power and play its role. The media should tell people that don’t just see one film, don’t just see two films. See all three films.”

Nikkhil Advani quipped, “But see Vedaa first!” Monisha joined in the fun as she said, “See an Abhishek Banerjee film first!”

On a serious note, she said, “But the fact is that please support all three films. It’s a lovely time of the year. This is when there’s a reduction in the rainfall. It’s our 77th Independence Day. It’s a great time to come together and enjoy the wonderful experience called cinema. I am speaking in the capacity of a producer, but I am also talking like a moviegoer.”
