Vedaa trailer launch: Nikkhil Advani says, “If second part of Kal Ho Naa Ho is made today, people will question “6 din ladki in”; speaks on taking John Abraham-starrer a step ahead of D-Day “in terms of action” amid constant request of making Kal Ho Naa Ho sequel

The trailer launch of Vedaa brought together the film’s star cast, including John Abraham, Sharvari, and Abhishek Banerjee, along with director Nikkhil Advani and the production team. During the event, Nikkhil delved into the challenges and risks associated with making the film.

Nikkhil Advani BREAKS SILENCE on Taking 6 Years To Make Vedaa
The director revealed that it took six years to develop Vedaa due to his commitments to other projects like Abhay Pannu’s Rocket Boys and Mumbai Diaries. He shared, “It took me 6 years to develop this film because I was making Abhay Pannu’s Rocket Boys, I was doing Mumbai Diaries myself. I was looking for someone to play Vedaa when Sharvari came to my office and heard it. John and I worked hard on the script. We worked hard on the action. Most people still say that I should make Kal Ho Naa Ho again. So for me to do what I was able to do with D-Day and take it one step further In terms of the action. But most importantly I think we really worked hard on the script.”
Nikkhil Advani Speaks About Taking Risks in Filmmaking
Addressing the inherent risks in filmmaking, Advani acknowledged the challenges of creating a contemporary film that resonates with audiences. He said, “There is always risk. If I make the second part of Kal Ho Naa Ho today, people will be like what is this 6 din ladki in? People will be like what is this? A woman is standing there and two men are discussing that she is yours in one life and she will be mine for the rest of 6 life. So in today’s time, everything is a risk. Everything has to be thought about. You have to keep a lot of things in mind, but having said that, it should not stop you from telling stories you want to tell.”

Written by Aseem Arora, the action entertainer is inspired by true events and is slated for release in cinemas during the occasion of Independence Day, on August 15.
