Fans of Citadel couldn’t be more excited to see the never-seen-before chemistry of Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the action-packed spy thriller Citadel: Honey Bunny. With its release just around the corner, the team also hosted a grand premiere, which was a starry affair as many came to cheer the team and showcase their support. While the promotions continue, on Tuesday, as Dhawan interacted with the paps he dropped a major surprise about his co-star Saqib Saleem.
It seems that while many names have been associated with Citadel: Honey Bunny, since the show features an ensemble cast, there were hardly any glimpses of these characters in the trailer, including that of Saqib Saleem. Fans are quite curious about his Dishoom co-star’s role in the spy thriller and were seen asking Varun Dhawan regarding the same. And it seems that his answer has piqued further curiosity among fans. When the SOTY actor was asked by one of the paps if Saqib will be seen in the series, Varun said, “Saqib 100 percent dikhenge series mein. Woh best part hai series ke (Saqib will be seen 100 percent in the series. He is the best part of the series).” He went on to repeat and added, “Best part hai series ke Saqib”.

Speaking about the show, set against the vibrant tapestry of the ’90s, Citadel: Honey Bunny fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story. Along with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the show also stars Kay Kau Menon, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar in key roles. Directed by Raj and DK, the show premieres exclusively on Prime Video on November 7 in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
