The third instalment in the Tiger franchise starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif hit screens a while back. After enjoying the Diwali festivities, which gave the business of the film a massive boost, Tiger 3 has continued its march at the box office. However, the Maneesha Sharma directorial has now begun to see signs of slowing down at the box office. In the overseas markets as well, Tiger 3 which was doing good business seems to be decelerating at the box office window.
In this box office report, we look at the overseas business of Tiger 3 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2023 that have made an impact at the overseas box office. Collecting USD 14.02 million, Tiger 3 has emerged as the fourth-highest overseas grosser of 2023. Not surprisingly, the film, which enjoyed a massive advance-booking rate, and a wide release, has managed to surpass the business of the previous release Gadar 2 which had collected USD 7.90 million. However, the business of Tiger 3 has not managed to surpass other releases like the Shah Rukh Khan starrers Pathaan which collected USD 47.88 million, and Jawan which collected USD 46.57 million. Besides these two releases, Tiger 3 follows closely behind the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which collected USD 21 million.
As of now, Tiger 3 continues to run in theatres, but with the audience craving for action being satiated, and the competition from new release, the business of the film has been seeing a gradual and slow decline. In fact, trade predictions state that while Tiger 3 will continue to run in theatres, the business of the film is highly unlikely to see much increase.
