Things are heating up for the arrival of Salman Khan as Tiger as the advance booking is going on in full swing across the country. With 3 days and 4 hours to go for the release, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-led Tiger 3 has sold approx. 3.25 lakh tickets across the country through the Book My Show app and is fast headed to clock 4 lakh sales in India.
The action-packed entertainer, produced by Yash Raj Films, has scored an advance booking worth Rs. 9.15 crores for the opening day alone and is expected to earn over Rs. 17 crores even before a single show rolls out. The bookings for Tiger 3 are strong outside of the national chains and this is because of the mass fan following of Salman. Something similar happened back in August with Gadar 2, which fared better in single screens & non-national chains as compared to multiplex chains.
Talking of PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, Tiger 3 has sold approximately 1.17 lakh tickets for the opening day alone and is expected to close its total figure in the multiplex chains with sales of 3.50 lakh tickets, making it one of the highest of all time. These sales are coming for Tiger 3 despite a release on Laxmi Pooja Day, which is considered the weakest day for the film business.
Tiger 3 is the fifth film of YRF Spy Universe and also features Shah Rukh Khan making an appearance as Pathaan. The Salman Khan starrer also has a cameo of Hrithik Roshan as Agent Kabir.
