With an enviable ensemble cast, the film Thalaivar 170 has garnered ample attention. The film will also bring together Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan after three decades, which has further added to the excitement. As fans eagerly await to see the Hum duo reunite, Lyca Productions decided to tease them with a small glimpse.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Lyca Productions shared a photo of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. Furthermore, in the same post they announced that the duo have completed the Mumbai schedule of this untitled venture. Speaking of the photo, set against the backdrop of what looks like an office, Rajinikanth was seen smiling and concentrating on something that Amitabh Bachchan was intensely showing on his phone. It was captioned saying, “When Superstar and Shahenshah met on the sets of #Thalaivar170 ?? Reunion on screens after 33 years! ?? #Thalaivar170 is gonna be double dose of legends! ?? @rajinikanth @SrBachchan.” They concluded by adding, “Done with MUMBAI Schedule”.

For the unversed, just last week, reports had it that Amitabh Bachchan had joined the shoot schedule of this upcoming TJ Gnanavel entertainer. While the megastar is expected to play a pivotal role, the details of his character is not yet defined. It is also yet to be seen if the actor will be joining the cast for their next schedule. Reports have it that Rajinikanth is expected to play the role of a cop.
Coming to the film, which is currently being referred to as Thalaivar 170, the film features an extensive cast of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the makers are yet to announce the release date of this action entertainer.
