The Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas was released yesterday. However, despite the wide promotions and the lead cast of the film making headlines the business of the film has not benefited much. In fact, Tejas has been facing an up-hill task at the box office to post decent collections. Not surprisingly, even in the overseas markets the film has been facing issues at the box office.
At the New Zealand box office, Tejas has managed to collect just USD 910 [Rs. 75,906] from 14 screens on Day 1 in theatres. At the Australia box office, it managed to collect USD 3,002 [Rs. 2,50,407] from 24 screens.
This dismal performance of the film is being attributed to the fact that despite the promotions Tejas failed to create a rapport with the audience. Given the current scenario trade predictions state that it is highly unlikely that the business of Tejas will see further growth.
