Readers would be aware that Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Netflix India hosted a grand screening on April 24 in Mumbai which was attended by some of the biggest names in B-town like Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. Along with them, the entire cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, and others also attended the premiere of two episodes. Followed by the love the web-series received, actor Taha Shah Badussha, who plays Sharmin Segal’s love interest and Nawab Tajdar in the show, took to share about the monumental moment he shared with the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his mother.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Taha Shah Badussha was reflecting on the “milestone” of portraying “Tajdar” under Bhansali’s visionary direction in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar alongside expressing gratitude towards his biggest supporter – his mom. Taha shared an emotional note which described the endless nights of dedication, that eventually lead to this dream come true. He captioned the post saying, “The visionary man of Heeramandi with my biggest supporter. Portraying Tajdar under the guidance of the visionary Sanjay Leela Bhansali Sir is a milestone I’ll forever cherish. Every frame, every scene, every emotion – a testament to dreams realized after endless nights of hustle. Can’t wait to share this epic saga with you all on Netflix”.

Speaking of Heeramandi, the web-series is set against the pre-Independence era and revolves around the lives of courtesans, who once enjoyed as much power as the reigning queens. The show stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, in lead roles along with Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Fardeen Khan as Nawabs. The show will premiere on Netflix on May 1.
