In a recent video making rounds on social media, Infosys founder Narayan Murthy was seen sharing his observations about Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan during a flight encounter. His comments caught the attention of many, including Sussanne Khan, the ex-wife of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who took to Instagram to laud Murthy for his perspective.
In the video, Narayan Murthy recalled being seated next to Kareena Kapoor on a flight, where numerous fans approached her for a greeting. To his surprise, Kareena didn’t respond to her admirers. Expressing his surprise, Murthy mentioned how he, on the other hand, stood up and exchanged greetings with those who approached him, as it is a simple yet genuine way to acknowledge affection.
“I was a little bit surprised. Whoever came to me, I stood up, and we discussed for a minute or half a minute; that’s all they were expecting,” Murthy shared. However, Narayan Murthy’s wife, Sudha, came in support of Kareena and attributed her lack of response to being tired due to her popularity and countless admirers. She suggested that fatigue might have played a role in Kareena’s demeanour on the flight.
But Narayan Murthy emphasised that the issue was not about being tired or having a massive fan following. “The issue is that when somebody shows affection, you can also show it back, however cryptic a manner you can. I think that is very important. These are all ways to reduce your ego, that’s all,” Murthy stated.

The video was also shared by ETimes on its Instagram account. Sussanne Khan commented on it saying, “Well said Mr Murthy (clapping hands emojis).”
Having said that, it is worth mentioning that both Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan have shared the screen together in several well-known films, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Yaadein, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Mujhse Dosti Karoge.
