Sunita Ahuja opens up about Govinda receiving female attention; says, “At the end, he comes home at night”

Known for being one of the most popular actors of the 90s, Govinda enjoyed a massive fan following about two decades ago. While his stardom tasted new heights and the actor also enjoyed a massive fan following, his wife Sunita Ahuja, who did not belong to the glam industry, opened up about the challenges of being a non-actress wife and homemaker. She also addressed the subject of female fans and how she handled the high-pressure job and also romance rumors with other actresses.

Many would be aware that during the early years of their marriage, Sunita Ahuja was quite shy about being in the limelight. However, of late, the star wife seems more comfortable with the media glare and is often seen showcasing her candid self at chat shows. Even when she appeared on Timeout with Ankit, Sunita opened up her heart and spoke about her experience of being a star wife, asserting that it is not everyone’s cup of tea. “To be a hero’s wife, aapko dil mein itna bada patthar rakhna padega ya toh aap shadi na karo hero se (you will have to be a bit stone-hearted, otherwise I would suggest that you don’t get married to a hero at all),” she told on the show.

Elaborating on the profession further, she also addressed issues such as Govinda romancing other actresses on screen and the way he gets thronged by female fans, and how you have to deal with it. She added, “Mereko farak nahi padta(Frankly, I don’t care). You have to be very confident in yourself. Abhi aadmi hai voh, aap aisa nahi bol sakte gaay hai koi aadmi. Hota hoga. Theek hai na, ghoom fir ke raat ko ghar hi aa jata hai na (He is a human. You cannot call them a cow. There might be things happening. But it’s okay. At the end of the day, he comes to me and his home in the night)”.

Speaking of Govinda, the actor was last seen in Rangeela Raja in 2019 but the film failed to make a mark at the box office.
