Srikanth has brought some relief to the industry. At least at the multiplexes, the film is finding good patronage for itself and seeing consistent footfalls in a daily basis. While weekdays were stable for the film, the weekend is seeing a rise in numbers all over again, something that had happened last weekend as well.
While back then numbers had grown from Rs. 2.41 crores (Friday) to Rs. 4.26 crores (Saturday), now too the collections have elevated from Rs. 1.67 crores to Rs. 2.82 crores. The growth was around 75% in the first weekend and now the second weekend too has risen by around 70%, and that’s really good trending. More so, since yesterday it was a cracker of a match between RCB and CSK. This also means that there would be a segment of audiences that will step into theatres today since they stayed home due to IPL yesterday.
What has to be seen is the kind of number that comes in today. Anything over Rs. 3.50 crores would be really good as last Sunday the film had collected Rs. 5.28 crores. The Rajkummar Rao starrer has already reached Rs. 22.53 crores and the first week in the thereabouts of Rs. 30 crores is pretty much on the cards with a lot more set to come in due to an open run for a couple of weeks more.
