Sony Entertainment Television, which aims at creating shows different from the usual saas-bahu dramas, is all set to introduce a different show on the channel. Titled Dabangii – Mulgii Aayi Re Aayi!, the makers unveiled a teaser of sorts on September 13. While the short promo hardly gives us a glimpse of the show, we are introduced to a rather fierce child, which will be essayed by Maahi Bhadra.
For the unversed, Maahi Bhadra has been winning hearts of netizens on social media and now she will be essaying the role of a central character in this forthcoming series. Speaking of the recently released teaser-promo of the upcoming fiction offering, the show introduces Maahi as ‘Dabangii’, a feisty young girl, who is all set to fight against a group of kids who are ready to attack her. Set against the backdrop of rural India, further details including the casting is yet to be awaited. If sources are to be believed, the show is expected to feature popular television actress Sai Deodhar, who was last seen in the Sony show Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane, in the role of Dabangii girl’s mother.

Speaking of Sony Entertainment, the channel currently features a host of shows including Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon starrer Barsaatein, Aditi Sharma – Adnan Khan starrer Katha Ankahee, the popular quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, among others. The channel will also soon start airing the comeback venture of Sumbul Touqeer, Kavya, featuring the actress in the role of an ambitious IAS officer.
