Sister Wives: Robyn Should Have Kept This Stuff Off Camera

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown likely knows by now that her lack of popularity with viewers of the TLC series probably won’t win her any fan-favorite prizes. So, it’s surprising that she would offer more fuel for that fire on the TLC screen.

But she does seem to keep allowing this, as these scenes continue to roll out in each new season. That said, she could have avoided many negative comments if she just made a tweak or two before the scenes below were caught on camera.

Sister Wives: Robyn Brown has Choices

Robyn Brown appeared in shocking scenes during this series that sent fans running for social media. But some of this ridicule could have been easily avoided.

Robyn could have made sure the cameras didn’t get a chance to capture something so controversial. Fans wondered if she exchanged her reputation for ratings. Maybe even against her better judgment, but planned nonetheless, suggests viewers.

Sister Wives was canceled after Season 11 when ratings indicated the show’s shelf-life was about to expire. But after some heavy-duty finagling with salaries, Kody Brown keeps his show. So what did that mean for Robyn Brown?

Robyn Had to Know?

It’s likely a contingency came along with this second chance. Sister Wives probably needed to prove itself in the ratings. So, was Robyn’s reputation sacrificed for this reason?

Robyn Brown had to know that some of the things filmed would gather negative comments from the show’s viewers. Tony Padron, Kody’s son-in-law, talked about Robyn recently.

He told his followers just how much Robyn hates doing the show because of all the negativity from fans. But yet, fans suggest she gives them the scenes that warrant these comments.

Sister Wives: You Can’t Unsee This Stuff…

In the last few seasons, Robyn Brown gave Sister Wives fans plenty of ammunition to run to social media sites. Here are a few examples:

• Robyn allowed the cameras to film her six-year-old daughter running around at a holiday gathering with a pacifier in her mouth. Sister Wives fans posted screenshots and bashed this mom for a lack of parenting skills. Many were concerned that this school-aged child would get ridiculed by friends. Not to mention, the many fans who suggested that her daughter was way past the age for a pacifier.

• Then, another time she knew the cameras were coming, yet no one did anything to make their home look presentable. So, Robyn and Kody sat in what fans called a “messy house” as the Sister Wives cameras filmed. And within minutes, fans spread the word online.

Messy and Dangerous?

• Fans ripped into Robyn during that messy house episode, when they spotted many medication bottles left out within her younger kids’ reach. This was dangerous, and viewers hopped online to tell her so. Look at the mess below, why would Robyn and Kody agree to let the cameras capture this?         Sister Wives | TLC
• Robyn earned the nickname “Sobbin Robyn” from the Sister Wives fans. Her crying jags seemed never-ending. She could have done something about this, like stop. But, no, she continued and fans kept calling her that name.
• In the first few Sister Wives episodes, Kody makes it clear that he won’t show affection for a wife if there’s a chance any of the other wives can see this. Yet that didn’t seem to include Robyn getting a kiss or a hug on camera. So, she complained the other wives thought she was the favorite, yet she gave them plenty of ammunition for that assumption. She could have followed the rules, at least while on camera, as the other wives did.

Robyn’s Forgetfulness Still Lives On Today…

• Robyn Brown made a big hit for drama when she inadvertently left something on her nightstand. Despite knowing all four wives were touring their bedrooms for a segment of Sister Wives, she didn’t hide something that caused major embarrassment for the other wives. So, when it came to Robyn Brown’s bedroom, a condom wrapper was seen on the table next to her bed. She knew they were doing the tour, so why was that left out?
• One of the most telling scenes for the Sister Wives fans about Robyn’s need to put her nose in the other marriages aired last season. Kody told Meri Brown they were over. But Robyn Brown left, loudly sobbing as if it were all about her. Then, when no one followed her to bring her back, she showed up on her own. She had to know she was about to open the floodgates for bashing online. But she did it anyway.

These examples have fans wondering if Robyn Brown became the sacrifice for conjuring up the drama, needed to keep the show alive. She hates the negative comments coming from the fans, yet she furbishes the viewers with never-ending ammunition to shoot back at her.

Some fans think she was used for this drama to keep Sister Wives afloat. If that’s the case, then Robyn Brown and Kody Brown came up with a strategy that worked. Both seemed to settle for comments of any kind, as long as the ratings looked good.
