Siddharth Anand shares how he convinced Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan to showcase their abs in Fighter; says, “It stems from the confidence that they have”

Director Siddharth Anand spilled the beans on how he managed to convince Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone to flaunt their chiselled physiques in Fighter. The director opened up during a media interaction about the stars’ confidence in their appearance.

Siddharth Anand addressed the challenge of convincing Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, stating, “It’s not easy to convince them, first of all. Honestly, it stems from the confidence that they have. They have confidence in themselves, in their appearance, about how good-looking they are. Just look at them. Inko kuch bolne ki zaroorat nahin padti hai.”

Responding to Siddharth’s comments, Hrithik Roshan jokingly said, “You can trust Sid.”

Siddharth emphasized the hard work and sacrifice that goes into maintaining their sculpted physiques, praising their dedication to fitness to which Siddharth said, “Jokes apart, it’s not easy to look like this. I think they put in a lot of effort, and the one word that I use is sacrifice. There’s a lot of sacrifice that goes into looking like this, and they are relentless. They know what to wear to the beach or while dancing. Imagine us dancing shirtless. Every part is going to be jumping. They are like rock; they are sculpted, and it’s a lot of effort that goes into it.”

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the aerial action drama has garnered attention for its portrayal of the bravery and dedication of IAF officers who safeguard the nation’s skies with unwavering courage. To pay tribute to these valiant individuals, the makers organised this special screening in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, where the dedicated IAF officers had the opportunity to witness the cinematic salute to their efforts. The film is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the makers and the Indian Air Force who have extended their support to make the inspiring tale of Fighter come to life.

Presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, Fighter seamlessly blends heart-thumping action with patriotic fervour.
