Siddhant Chaturvedi reveals how people’s behaviour towards Triptii Dimri changed on Dhadak 2 set once Animal released: “Which tea would you prefer? I couldn’t resist teasing her”

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are gearing up to share the screen for the first time in the highly anticipated Dhadak 2. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Gully Boy actor opened up about the dramatic shift in his co-star’s popularity following her role in Animal. Before Animal, Triptii was a rising star with a promising career ahead. However, her portrayal of Ranbir Kapoor’s obsessive lover in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film catapulted her to national stardom. The actress was crowned the ‘national crush’ and earned the moniker ‘India’s Bhabhi 2’.

Recalling the time when Animal released, Siddhant shared a humorous anecdote about the change in attitude towards Triptii on their Dhadak 2 set. “We were shooting in Bhopal when Animal released. Earlier, she would casually ask for tea, and no one would bat an eyelid. But post-release, it was like, ‘Which tea would you prefer, Triptii? Masala tea, green tea, or herbal?’” Siddhant chuckled, adding, “I couldn’t resist teasing her about it, but I was genuinely happy for her.”

Despite the newfound fame and attention, Siddhant maintains a professional stance. When asked if he developed a crush on his co-star, he firmly denied it, stating, “She’s sweet and amazing, but I don’t let my emotions interfere with work. My focus is solely on the job.”

Dhadak 2, a sequel to the original starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, is set to release on November 22, 2024. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film promises a fresh take on love and relationships.
