Sharvari Wagh seeks blessings at Siddhivinayak temple on Vedaa release day

Actress Sharvari Wagh paid a visit to the Siddhivinayak temple on August 15, just hours after her film Vedaa was released. Vedaa, starring Sharvari and John Abraham, opened today in theaters, with Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar-Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein.

Following the release of her film, the actress visited a temple and received blessings. She looked stunning in a yellow salwar-kurta combo with floral motifs. Sharvari is at an interesting point in her career. Her last film, Munjya, was a success, and she is now filming Alpha with Alia Bhatt while Vedaa is in theaters.

Vedaa, inspired by true events, goes into the dark and violent world of caste-based violence and societal injustice. Drawing on the terrible stories of Manoj-Babli, victims of a horrible honor killing, and Meenakshi Kumari, who was sentenced to a barbaric punishment by an all-male village council, the film focuses on three major people caught up in a storm of societal injustice. Sharvari Wagh plays Vedaa, a dedicated law student who has a strong interest in boxing. She leads a happy life with her sister Geetanjali, brother Vinod, and their parents until a series of events plunges them into a nightmare existence.

In an interview with Moneycontrol, the actress expressed gratitude for the response to her film. She expressed being impressed by renowned stars with many Rs 100 crore movies. The actress also expressed her gratitude to the audience for their support, describing it as overwhelming to see so many people come to theaters to see her film and show their love and admiration for it.

Meanwhile, she is also filming a major YRF spy universe film Alpha, which co-stars Alia Bhatt.
