Shah Rukh Khan had taken a four-year sabbatical after his film Zero didn’t work at the box office in 2018. The actor came back in business through Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan in January this year. The film needed to work big time for him. Well, it did more than that. The Badshah regained his throne as the film became an all-time blockbuster. But that isn’t all. His next release Jawan scored even more than Pathaan.
Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, Pathaan become a global blockbuster as it went onto earn Rs. 1050.3 crores worldwide. Jawan, which is directed by Atlee, has so far succeeded in amassing Rs. 1090.89 crores worldwide. The total number of earnings of both the films stand at a staggering Rs. 2141.19 crores. This is the amount SRK’s films have earned this year.
But that’s not all. Jawan, which also star Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, has still not completed its theatrical run as the film continues to play in India and abroad.
On top of that, Khan has another big release up his sleeve in the form of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is slated to release during the Christmas period on December 22. With the film being the first collaboration of the two heavyweights, it is expected to earn massive at the box office.
