The Akshay Kumar film, Sarfira showed a muted growth on Saturday as the early estimates are in the range of Rs. 3.75 to 3.95 crore. The film should have jumped by atleast 100 percent to have a shot of doing well at the box office in the long run and this is a rather muted growth which has come due to the weekend factor.
The 2-day total of Sarfira stands at Rs. 6.50 crores and the movie is looking at a first weekend business of Rs. 12 crores. The word of mouth from the ones who have seen the film is on the positive side but there is a genuine lack of interest to consume the film among the cinema-going audience.
A film like Kill has shown 80% growth on 2nd Saturday, as compared to Sarfira which has jumped by just 60% despite a disaster start on Friday. The eyes are now on Monday though the opening day has sealed the fate of Sarfira and it’s now about reaching a face-saving number
