Sara Ali Khan puts together songs selected by fans for her Filmfare Awards performance; says, “It was really fun, challenging and gratifying to dance”

The 69th edition of Filmfare Awards is all set to air this week. The popular awards ceremony, which was held last month, was attended by the biggest stars. The event, for the first time, was held at GIFT City in Gujarat. While it honoured the artistic and technical excellence of cinema and felicitated the inspiring journeys of countless artists, filmmakers, and technicians, it also saw the who’s who of B-town setting the stage on fire with scintillating performances. Among them was also the very popular Sara Ali Khan who enthralled everyone with her graceful dance moves. But did you know that the actress’ songs were not selected by her but by her fans?

Fans of Sara Ali Khan are in for a treat since the actress will be showcasing her versatility on stage with her multiple dance forms. Her act will be a blend of diverse Indian cultures and different dance forms like Bharatnatyam, Ghoomar, Garba, and Lezim on popular songs ‘Tere Vaaste’ (Zara Hatke Zara Bachke), ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ (Sooryavanshi), ‘Saami Saami’ (Pushpa The Rise), and ‘Kala Chashma’ (Baar Baar Dekho). Adding intrigue to this is the fact that the performances for the awards soirée was put together by her fans. Sara lovers selected these songs and shared their thoughts on social media. In fact, some of them even attended the event and were present on ground to watch her perform live!

Sara took time out to meet them and also interacted with them after her performance thanking them for their endless love and support. The actress shared about this saying, “For me this performance was special, because as my Darshaks know I’m a total desi and love all parts of my country. So, it was really fun, challenging and gratifying to dance in the style of various regions of Bharat.”
