Sanya Malhotra starrer Pagglait turns 3, actress shares memory on social media

Sanya Malhotra-starrer Pagglait turned three years on March 26. The actress took to her social media account to celebrate the occasion along with the writer-director of the film, Umesh Bisht. She shared some BTS aka behind-the-scenes pictures of the film that went on to win several accolades whereas the actress too garnered immense love for her role as Sandhya Giri.

Celebrating the occasion and sharing a photo from the sets of the film, Sanya Malhotra remembered the film and said, “Mera pagglait parivaar (tears of joy and feeling loved emojis) 3 Years of Pagglait”. The actress had reposted it from the series of the photos shared by the filmmaker Umesh Bisht.

Umesh Bisht went on to share a series of photos which included the photos of other characters. One of the photos featured Sayani Gupta, who played the role of Aakanksha Roy who is Sandhya’s late husband’s ex-girlfriend, and Shruti Sharma who essayed the character of Sandhya’s friend Nazia Zaidi bonding with each other. Yet another had Ashutosh Rana in the getup of Shivendra Giri, Sandhya’s father-in-law, along with a few others with the crew and some even featuring the director himself. He captioned it saying, “3 years of Pagglait!!! Grateful!!! (folded hands, heart, and hug emojis)”.

For the unversed, Pagglait is a black comedy drama featuring Sanya Malhotra in the role of a young widow, who has to deal with the aftermath of her husband dying after five months of marriage. The film narrates a story of joy, sorrow, and personal revelation as Sandhya must decide what is best for her future. Since the film was slated to release during the pandemic, it premiered digitally, on Netflix.
