Former actress Sana Khan, who made headlines for leaving the film industry in 2020 to embrace a more religious life, recently opened up about her relationship with her husband, Mufti Anas, on Rubina Dilaik’s podcast. This marks the first time Sana has publicly discussed the age difference between herself and Anas.
Sana Khan’s Candid Revelation About Age Difference
During the podcast, Sana Khan shared a personal detail about her marriage that has intrigued many. She revealed that her husband, Mufti Anas, is seven years younger than she is. Reflecting on their relationship, Sana admitted she had initial reservations when Anas proposed marriage through a Maulana. “I was like, how will this work? My husband is almost seven years younger than me,” Sana recalled.
From Hesitation to Deep Connection
Despite her initial hesitation, Sana was moved by Anas’s reasons for wanting to marry her. She explained how Anas’s heartfelt explanation and his deep respect for a late friend won her over. “I asked myself if I had any friend who would wish well for me after my death, and I realized I had none. That’s what first attracted me to Anas,” Sana shared. Her realization about the genuine affection and selflessness Anas demonstrated played a significant role in her decision.
Sana, who previously viewed Maulanas as “very boring,” found herself reassessing her views after witnessing Anas’s sincere prayers and reflections on his late friend. This encounter was pivotal in changing her perception and drawing her closer to Anas.
The couple first met in Mecca in 2017 and tied the knot in a private Nikah ceremony in 2020. Their wedding was followed by a reception, marking the beginning of their journey together. Their relationship has since flourished, culminating in the birth of their first child, a baby boy, in July 2023.
