Salaar (Hindi) Box Office: Prabhas starrer set to go past his 2019 film Saaho [Hindi] in three weeks

In a few days from now, Salaar [Hindi] would be Prabhas’ second highest grosser ever in Hindi. Of course, his Baahubali: The Conclusion was an altogether different beast in Hindi with Rs. 511 crores in its belt, hence opening the Rs. 500 Crores Club in India and that too in a single language. However, post that his highest grosser was Saaho which had done Rs. 150 crores in Hindi. Now that record should be surpassed by Salaar [Hindi] this week itself.

The Prashant Neel directed film currently stands at Rs. 145.67 crores and is now at just a breathing distance from achieving Rs. 150 crores milestone. Of course, it has taken some time to reach here as one would have expected the film to do that by close of second weekend itself, if not within first week. However, there was this big clash with Dunki, as a result of which it had to let go off some premium single screens and then the shows at key properties got divided as well. Had this been a solo release, Salaar [Hindi] could well have been targeting the Rs. 200 Crores Club.

Nonetheless, the footfalls are limited now, especially if one considers the fact that there is no real competition from anywhere and it’s all about audiences stepping in as per their comfort. This was reflected in Rs. 10.07 crores more that came during the weekend gone by, though given the screens and shows available, there was a lot of capacity at its disposal. Nonetheless, the film will now keep collecting at least Rs. 1-2 crores each on a daily basis right till the next weekend and then add on some more before Fighter arrives, which is way down the line right now.
