Sahil Phull opens up about playing Samay Shukla in Colors’ show Suhaagan; says, “He is a man of many layers”

Suhaagan currently revolves around the tale of a grown-up Bindiya (Garima Kishnani) and Payal (Sakshi Sharma) who are caught together in a love triangle with Krishna (Raghav Thakur). And now we hear that the Colors’ show is introducing a new character named Samay Shukla, essayed by Sahil Phull, best known for his role as Inspector Agni in Sony SAB’s Kaatelaal and Sons. The actor’s character is expected to be a mysterious blend of modernity and tradition.

With this latest addition to the cast, the show is expected to feature some fresh twists and turns in the already gripping storyline. In the current track, Bindiya is deeply wounded by Krishna’s outburst and seeks solace in her hometown, where she meets Samay, who has a big project in the works.

Speaking of his character, Samay is an with a trail of successful startups, which exemplifies his ambition and entrepreneurial spirit beyond his years. Despite his metropolitan upbringing, Samay’s heart remains rooted in tradition and respect for simple pleasures. His life mirrors that of Bindiya, a kindred spirit who shares his values of family and love. Having pursued his studies in Bangalore, he returns to his roots in Barabanki with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to embark on new business ventures. How will his arrival shake up the dynamics established among Bindiya, Payal, and Krishna?

Talking about joining the show, Sahil Phull shared, “It feels wonderful to be welcomed back into the Colors family with Suhaagan, a show that has the viewers hooked to their television screens. I am looking forward to embodying the complex character of Samay Shukla. He is a man of many layers, and I cannot wait for the viewers to unravel the mysteries surrounding his entry on the show. Samay and I are alike; this character too is deeply rooted in his values, cherishing simplicity, and tradition despite his success in business and urban upbringing. His homecoming to Barabanki marks new developments in the journey of Bindiya, Payal, and Krishna. I hope that the audiences embrace me in this role as they always have.”

Coming to the serial, Suhaagan airs from Monday to Sunday at 6:30 pm only on Colors.
