Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani follows a similar trend to the Ranveer Singh starrer Bajirao Mastani

The Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani released a while back and since then there has been no stopping the film. Directed by Karan Johar the venture which also stars Alia Bhatt has fast become the audiences’ first choice in theatres. In fact, after opening on a strong note the business of the film witnessed immense growth over its opening weekend. Following this, with positive reviews and strong word of mouth the business of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has managed to remain stable over its first week as well.

While for Ranveer the film has certainly spelt success, looking back at his box office track record Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani seems to share a similar fate to his previous release Bajirao Mastani. Currently on its second weekend running, the film has been trending and so has the actor Ranveer Singh. Interestingly, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which is the actor’s 16th film, coincidentally matches the box office journey of his 8th release Bajirao Mastani. Like the previous release, Ranveer’s latest cinematic outing has featured more of less similar collections over its first weekend and first week. In terms of exact numbers, Bajirao Mastani had raked in Rs. 46.77 cr on its opening weekend and Rs. 86.15 cr at the close of its first week. Echoing a similar trend, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani drew in Rs. 45.90 cr on its opening weekend and Rs. 73.33 cr at the close of its first week.

Currently, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has the audience flocking to the theaters in abundance. Now it would be interesting to watch how the film will pave its path at the box office further. In fact, early trade estimates state that the business of the film will breach the Rs. 100 cr mark by the end of its second weekend.
