Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani becomes the 2nd highest weekend grosser of 2023 at the U.K box office overtaking Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit the theatres worldwide on July 28. Starring an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, the film has been enjoying positive reviews and word-of-mouth from the audience. In the home country India, the movie has managed good numbers in the first weekend as it has reached a figure of Rs 45.90 crores.

Karan Johar’s movies have always found acceptance from the overseas audience. And this seems to be happening with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as well. As far as the film’s collection in the United Kingdom is concerned, it has finished its first weekend in the UK at £ 323,923.

This is the second highest weekend number in the country for a Bollywood movie in 2023. Before the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the second position was enjoyed by the Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan with £ 292,286. The first position in the list is acquired by Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Pathaan with a mammoth number of £ 1,866,551.

The UK weekend number of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has also put behind some other well-known films of the year in the form of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Satyaprem Ki Katha and Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani still has a long way to go at the box office before the two biggies Gadar 2 and OMG 2 release on August 11. Hence, the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer is expected to rake in a lot of moolah in the upcoming days, especially the second weekend.
