Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment in collaboration with Sunshine Digimedia have announced their next project in the form of Operation Trident.
The film is based on the Indian Navy’s daring attack during the 1971 Indo Pak War. The saga of the historic triumph is expected to inspire generations to come.
The announcement of the project was held at Nausena Bhavan New Delhi, in presence of Adm R Hari Kumar CNS, Ritesh Sidhwani (Producer, Excel Entertainment), Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani (Co-Producers, Excel Entertainment), Abhinav Shukla (Producer, Sunshine Digimedia) and Priyanka Belorkar (Co-Producer, Sunshine Digimedia)

More information about the project, including the casting, is currently kept under wraps. It will be intriguing to see who will play the roles in this beautiful endeavour.
As a filmmaker, Farhan Akhtar has the keenly awaited Don 3, which is the third film in his Don franchise. The first two films, Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), saw Shah Rukh Khan play the titular character. For the third instalment, however, Ranveer Singh is being roped in to play the lead. Apart from this, Farhan has also announced Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
