Rakul Preet Singh opens up on starring opposite Kamal Haasan in Indian 2; says, “I think it’s a very refreshing experience”

Rakul Preet Singh, who is juggling between projects in Bollywood and South Indian film industry, is elated to be a part of a huge successful franchise Indian 2 alongside the legendary actor Kamal Haasan. While the actress has always expressed her interest to take on diverse roles, Rakul has expressed happiness over her character and over the fact that she is sharing screen space with superstar Kamal Haasan in the vigilante entertainer.

Speaking about the film, Rakul Preet Singh couldn’t contain her enthusiasm when talking about this remarkable opportunity. In a recent interview, she shared her feelings, saying, “It’s surreal. Chachi 420, for example, was my favourite film. Working alongside individuals you’ve admired—people who’ve been in the profession for so long and had so much experience and have yet remained grounded—I think it’s a very refreshing experience.”

Besides Rakul, the film will also feature Siddharth and Kajal Aggarwal in a pivotal role. Earlier the Rang De Basanti actor had opened up about the film as he had added, “The film is about two other stalwarts – Kamal Haasan sir and Shankar sir. It was always my dream to work with Kamal Haasan sir. I can assure you that the film will be huge and 10 times bigger than what you can imagine it to be.”

Coming to the film, Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 vigilante action drama. The film is directed by S Shankar and fans of the movie are excited to see the return of Kamal’s character Senapathy on the big screen after almost two decades. However, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.
