After Priyanka Chopra Jonas enticed audiences with her sleek spy avatar in Citadel, Indian audiences are eager to see the Indian version of the action thriller unfold on the screen. Considering that it will also bring together the never-seen-before pairing of Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the excitement is quite high. Amid this anticipation, the makers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have dropped a photo which has sparked speculations on social media.
Although no date was revealed about the release of the upcoming web series Citadel, it seems that audiences are eager to catch a glimpse of the same. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was exploring the world and had taken a break from her hectic work schedule to concentrate on her health, seemed to have returned to her professional commitments. In a photo dropped by filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the duo took to social media to share a photo of the actress along with co-star Varun Dhawan and the rest of the team of the show.
While one of it was a pure team selfie, the other one featured them looking at their laptops. Curious fans were left intrigued by the pictures, wherein one of them commented, “Teaser loading?” whereas another one added, “Excited for upcoming updates from you team”. Many of them requested the makers to unveil a poster or a teaser of Citadel too.

Citadel is a thriller web-series produced by the Russo brothers and the sci-fi thriller will have multiple spin-off versions being created across continents, featuring celebrities from their homeland and it will premiere on Prime Video. Apart from Varun and Samantha, the Indian version of Citadel is also expected to feature Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem and Emma Canning. The release date of the show is yet to be announced.
