Raghav Juyal opens up about his character, the ‘butterfly effect’ and other details of Gyaarah Gyaarah; says, “When I read the script, I was mind-boggled”

Raghav Juyal, who is riding high on the success of Kill, is ecstatic as his highly anticipated web-series Gyaarah Gyaarah co-starring Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa is nearing its release. The show is a remake of the popular South Korean drama Signal and juggles between three different time periods as the trio of police officers struggle to expose a deep-rooted and dangerous conspiracy.

Opening up about the butterfly effect that is explored in Gyaarah Gyaarah, Raghav Juyal said, “The audience will be boggled by the connection between the characters and their emotions, creating a butterfly effect. They’ll be on the edge of their seats, wondering if the characters will meet, if time travel is possible, if there’s a connection or a glitch. This element will keep the audience hooked.” He also revealed details of his character and explained, “The character’s life experiences and his mission to do the right thing makes him blunt and honest. He has his life complexes, and portraying all this without saying much was challenging but fun. It was more challenging than my character Fani in ‘Kill,’ as it involved a lot of character-driven nuances, making it a satisfying challenge for an actor.”

Recalling the memory of how he reacted when the script was offered to him, Juyal shared, “When I read the script, I was mind-boggled. It was crazy from the first episode, very intriguing and mysterious. The characters made me say yes. There is so much conflict and mystery in their personal lives, and there’s a lot going on behind the character’s eyes in every scene with Yug. His mystery and intelligence attracted me a lot, and I don’t think I’m that intelligent in real life. So, it was like playing another person.”

He concluded by addressing the anticipation around the web-series and added, “The audience is waiting for this. They always ask for something different, something that is out of the box. The world of Gyaarah Gyaarah has mysticism and energy in everything—be it the location, the script, or the characters. The audience will be engrossed and captivated for sure.”

Directed by Umesh Bist, the show will premiere on ZEE5 on August 9.
