Radhikka Madan opens up about overcoming anxiety and her worst audition for Student of the Year 2; says, “I had a fever. I was so anxious”

Radhikka Madan recently reflected on her transition from television to film and her path to success. She discussed how she managed anxiety by learning to let go. Known for her roles in Pataakha and Angrezi Medium, Radhika shared her experiences of perseverance and self-discovery.

She recalled giving what she felt was her “worst audition” for Student of the Year 2 with Dharma Productions, which left her feeling anxious and ill. The film, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, eventually starred Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria.

Radhikka told Filmfare, “I got a very big audition… It was for Student of the Year 2. I psyched myself so much. I was preparing so much, it wasn’t even a two-page scene, I’d read it in my sleep as well. I psyched myself so much that I got sick before the audition. I had a fever, I had a cold, and I gave the worst audition of my life. I was so anxious.”

Radhikka’s life changed as a result of this incident. She stated that she saw her worry was limiting her, so she resolved to take a different approach, she added, “That day I promised myself that I am never going to feel this way, that I don’t want to be in a limbo and feel this anxious in my life.”

On the work front, Radhikka Madan was recently featured in Sarfira and Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, both directed by Mikhil Musale. Her upcoming film, Sanaa, portrays a determined and ambitious young woman (played by Radhika) grappling with unresolved trauma. The film also stars Pooja Bhatt, Sohum Shah, and Shikha Talsania.

In an Instagram post unveiling the trailer for Sarfira, Akshay Kumar described the film as “an ode to the dreams that keep us awake.” The film follows his character’s journey from struggling with debt to achieving visionary success, overcoming challenges with resilience and creativity. Scheduled for release on July 12, 2024, Sarfira features a notable cast including Radhikka Madan, Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and Akshay Kumar.

She will also appear in Rumi Ki Sharafat, directed by the well-known commercial filmmaker Prashant Bhagya.
