Anees Bazmee, who is currently busy with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, celebrated a significant milestone in his illustrious career as his beloved film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha completed 26 years since its release on July 15. The romantic comedy, which starred power couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol in lead roles, has remained a cherished movie not only in the hearts of many but also the filmmaker.
Despite being busy with work, the filmmaker took out time to pen a beautiful post. On this joyous occasion, Bazmee took to Instagram to share his sentiments by posting a heartfelt video which is a compilation of some of the most popular scenes from the cult rom-com. He also added a caption as he wrote, “26 Years ago, love happened! Celebrating the anniversary of Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, a film that will always be close to my heart and will always be special.”

About the film
For the unversed, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha released in 1998 and it is a remake of the 1995 American film French Kiss. The movie tells the story of Sanjana (Kajol), who embarks on a journey to retrieve her fiancé from the clutches of another woman, only to find love in the most unexpected place with Shekhar (Ajay Devgn) who is actually a conman. The film was a commercial success and received widespread acclaim for its engaging storyline, memorable music, and the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Devgn and Kajol.
