Pushpa 2 (Hindi) Box Office: Has another RECORD SUNDAY, Week 3 aims for Rs. 100 crores score

Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) has been seeing one record after another been smashed on practically every day since its release. While it has been in theatres for 18 days now, there hasn’t been a day gone by when a new record hasn’t been set. That was the case on Sunday as well, what with the film enjoying the best third Sunday ever in history. As much as Rs. 27 crores came in, and that’s just an out of the world number for a film which has as it is collected hundreds of crores already and is still continuing to mint money.

With this, the Allu Arjun starrer has now collected Rs. 692.50 crores and is less than Rs. 10 crores way from reaching the magical Rs. 700 crores mark. No film in history has ever done that in a single language and here Pushpa 2 (Hindi) would be setting a new benchmark for the industry. Last year, there were a select few films in the Rs. 500 Crore Club (Pathaan, Animal, Gadar 2) while Jawan opened the Rs. 600 Crore Club. This year, Stree 2 surpassed even Jawan and while it seemed that this record will stay for some time, it too was smashed by Pushpa 2 (Hindi) in very quick time.

Meanwhile, for the first time in its run, this Sukumar directed will find itself in single digits. On Friday, the film had collected Rs. 12.50 crores and since there would be a drop in numbers today for sure, one can expect Rs. 8-9 crores coming in. Tomorrow too would be the same, though the film will return into double digits on Wednesday and that too with huge numbers on the way. All of this means that at least Rs. 35 crores more are set to be accumulated before the week comes to a close, and that will result in Week 3 collections aiming for Rs. 100 crores score.
